WaifuCoins: earning and spending

The WaifuCoin (₩) is the site currency. It cannot be bought with money: coins are granted for activity — a daily reward of 10 ₩ or more, achievements and minigames — and earned by selling virtual cards to other collectors. They are spent on the gacha, on buying virtual cards, on profile customisation and as a discount on a seller order.

How to earn coins

The main source is the daily reward: steady and requiring nothing but a visit.

Daily reward 10 ₩ a day without a subscription; 15 / 20 / 30 ₩ on Pro, Premium and Max.
Selling virtual cards A card pulled in the gacha can be priced in ₩, and another collector will buy it for their virtual collection. The coins go to the seller in full — the site takes no cut.
One-off quests Confirming your email pays 30 ₩ plus XP; linking Telegram pays XP. Both quests fire once.
Achievements Achievements grant XP and coins; some form chains where the next step unlocks after the previous one.
Waifuchan The game has its own currency, and its minigames are a separate source of rewards.
Useful links A product link accepted by a moderator pays out coins.

Where to spend

There is plenty to spend on — from a gacha pull to a discount on a real order from a seller.

Virtual gacha A pull costs 1 to 20 ₩ depending on the pack.
Buying virtual cards Whatever you failed to pull can be bought from other players — the card moves into your virtual collection and the coins go to the seller.
A discount on a seller order If a seller accepts coins, they cover part of a real order at the seller rate — so physical cards end up cheaper.
Profile customisation Badges, header posters and showcase backdrops are bought with coins — details in the customisation guide.
Reviving Waifuchan The only bridge between the site and the game: a dead mascot can be brought back for 1,000 ₩.
One-off services An animated GIF avatar, a username change and other one-off things — arranged by hand and also paid for in coins.
Transaction history Every credit and debit appears in a ledger with the reason spelled out.

Shards and crystals are different

Alongside coins there are paid currencies, and they do not mix with ₩.

CurrencyWhat it is
game currency: earned by activity, spent on the gacha
💠paid currency: 1 shard = 10 ₽, used to buy a subscription
💎10 shards = 1 crystal; there is no exchange back

Coins cannot be bought with money by design: otherwise the gacha would turn into buying cards outright. More on paid currencies in the subscriptions guide.

Common questions

Can I buy coins?
No. Coins are earned only. Money buys shards, and those go to subscriptions rather than the gacha.
Can I send coins to someone else?
There is no transfer button, but coins do change hands: when someone buys a virtual card from you, and when a buyer covers part of a real order with them.
Do coins expire?
No — the balance never resets and has no expiry.

Claim your daily reward

The reward lands once a day, and what you save up goes into the gacha.
